Betty Sue Rountree
July 02, 1933 - October 29, 2015
Betty Sue Rountree, 82, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2015 after a lengthy illness. The Twin City native lived most of her life in Savannah and was a retired employee of Savannah Gas Light. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Ann Gomo and Wendy Jo Naismith (Charles Ashley); six stepchildren, Jacqueline Chapman (Ronald), Sally Ann Klein; Douglas B. Rountree (Reiko); Carol Lynn Fulcher (John); Leslie Rountree (David Schneider); and David Rountree; a sister, Rachel Thompson; and several grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 2, 2015 at Trinity United Methodist Church followed by a burial service in Bonaventure Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at Trinity United Methodist Church.
Remembrances may be made to honor Betty’s love of animals by donating to the Humane Society for Greater Savannah, 7215 Sallie Mood Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
